👉 En el marco del día mundial de la alimentación que se celebra cada 16 de octubre, hemos realizado un estudio que analiza la inclusión de asignaturas que desarrollen el tema de la alimentación a base de plantas (ABP) en las carreras de nutrición y dietética en Chile.

👉  Este estudio fue realizado durante los meses de septiembre y octubre, de manera documental, descriptivo y transversal, realizándose una revisión completa de las mallas curriculares de las carreras de nutrición y dietética de Chile, revelando que existe deficiente oferta académica a nivel de grado, relacionada con la alimentación a base de plantas en las universidades.

👉  La directora de estudios de la ONG Animal Libre, nutricionista María Paz Orrego (@nutricionvegetarianadeportiva) indicó que "es importante que no solo las nuevas tecnologías e inteligencia artificial ingresen en las mallas curriculares de carreras universitarias, sino también una cuestión fundamental del ser humano en estos tiempos; la contribución y empoderamiento de todos los profesionales de la salud y nutrición respecto a una alimentación sostenible a nivel global, como es la alimentación a base de plantas y por supuesto, a la libre elección de la persona o paciente respecto de su tipo de dieta"

👉As a part of World Food Day, celebrated every October 16, we conducted a study analyzing the inclusion of plant-based nutrition (ABP) subjects in nutrition and dietetics study programs in Chile.

👉The study was conducted between September and October, using a documentary, descriptive and cross-sectional approach. A complete review of the nutrition and dietetics study programs revealed that there is a lack of academic offerings related to plant-based nutrition.

👉The Research Director at Animal Libre, nutritionist María Paz Orrego (@nutricionvegetarianadeportiva) stated: “It is important that not only the new technologies and artificial intelligence are incorporated into the study program, but also fundamental aspects of human well-being in today’s world. 👉 Nuestro fundador @mauricioserranopalma estuvo presente en Bélgica, para hablar sobre la alimentación en base a plantas en Sudamérica y conocer el trabajo en el resto del mundo, esto en el segundo encuentro de la International Plant Based Foods Working Group, al que fue invitado.

🌎 Con otros representantes de diferentes regiones y continentes a nivel mundial, tanto de asociaciones que promueven la alimentación en base a plantas como empresas relacionadas, a través de foros y exposiciones en la que participo nuestro fundador, se pudo apreciar el panorama general del movimiento.

👉 Esta fue una instancia muy valiosa para fortalecer el movimiento y la gran tendencia en base a plantas, que como Animal Libre seguimos apoyando y trabajando.

La campaña “Los platos vacíos alimentan desigualdades” surge como un llamado urgente a la reflexión sobre una problemática que afecta a nuestra sociedad en su conjunto. La falta de opciones veganas en los establecimientos estatales no solo se traduce en una limitación de elección para quienes siguen este estilo de vida, sino que también perpetúa desigualdades alimentarias arraigadas.

Nuestra misión es clara: queremos que hospitales, escuelas y comedores universitarios ofrezcan un menú vegano inclusivo y saludable para quienes lo necesitan. Actualmente, las personas veganas tienen dificultades para encontrar opciones adecuadas en estos espacios. Esto es parte de nuestro proyecto de ley “Mi Menú Vegano”, que con el respaldo de más de 42,000 personas en change.org, busca acabar con esta exclusión que enfrentan las personas veganas en el país. 📋🌿

🌱 Cada plato que se sirve en instituciones estatales de argentina representa una valiosa oportunidad para respetar las creencias y valores de cada individuo. En un mundo diverso, la inclusión y el respeto son los pilares que nos unen.

🚨CONSTITUCIÓN: QUIEREN AL RODEO COMO DEPORTE NACIONAL EN LA CARTA MAGNA DE CHILE.

Esta semana en el proceso de la nueva constitución fue aprobada en primera instancia la enmienda de "unidad de propósito" presentada al artículo 13, que indica que el "baile nacional es la cueca y su deporte nacional el rodeo chileno", que fue respaldada por consejeros de Chile Vamos y el Partido Republicano, con 8 votos a favor y 4 abstenciones.

Nuestro fundador @mauricioserranopalma consultado por esto indicó que “Estas acciones son resultado del cambio sociocultural que estamos viviendo, donde prácticas como el rodeo son mayoritariamente rechazadas, ante el maltrato animal evidente que existe, por ende las intenciones de este grupo que lo avala, es buscar blindar por la constitución o las leyes, una práctica retrogada y obsoleta a nuestros tiempos.”

Si bien, queda otra etapa para aprobar esta iniciativa, invitamos a la comunidad en general a seguir rechazando al rodeo, dado que el maltrato animal #NoEsDeporte

¡CRITERIA: 60% ESTÁ EN ACUERDO QUE EL ESTADO DEBERÍA ELIMINAR LA ENTREGA DE FONDOS PÚBLICOS PARA EL FINANCIAMIENTO DEL RODEO!

👉 El estudio que realizamos con Criteria también reveló que las personas encuestadas se sienten mayoritariamente poco identificadas con el rodeo; 6 de cada 10 personas encuestadas, de hecho, manifiestan esto; mientras que sólo un 10% de los encuestados se considera identificado con esta práctica. Tampoco creen que el Estado debiese financiar esta actividad con recursos públicos.

Estos resultados reafirman la necesidad de que el proyecto de ley que pretende categorizar al rodeo como deporte nacional no avance.

¡NUEVO ESTUDIO: MAYORÍA NO QUIERE AL RODEO COMO DEPORTE NACIONAL!

👉 Un nuevo estudio realizado por Criteria a solicitud de la ONG Animal Libre, reveló por segundo año, que hay una mayoría de chilenas y chilenos (75%) que no se siente identificado con el rodeo, mientras que un 64% expresó estar en desacuerdo con que se considere como deporte nacional.

👉 En cuanto a la identificación de las y los chilenos con el rodeo este año, es de tan solo un 10%, teniendo una baja de 2 puntos con respecto al estudio que Criteria y Animal Libre publicaron el año pasado.

Estos resultados reafirman la necesidad de que el proyecto de ley que pretende categorizar al rodeo como deporte nacional no avance.

👉 Según nuestra directora de estudio Maria Paz Orrego @nutricionvegetarianadeportiva "este trabajo revela el estado nutricional según IMC de la población vegana estudiada en Chile y derriba mitos sobre posibles deficiencias, entre los cuales determinó que un 83% de las personas veganas estudiadas tienen un estado nutricional normal. Desde el punto de vista hematológico se derriba el mito de que las personas veganas no obtienen suficiente proteína, calcio y fósforo".
