📢‼️Desde el 2019 que venimos rechazando el proyecto de ley que pretende prohibir el uso del concepto “carne” para aquellas alternativas veganas que aparecen más y más cada año en el mercado de Chile.
🌱Según Veganuary este tipo de productos etiquetados como veganos en Chile 🇨🇱 , llegó a un 12% con un crecimiento de un 8% en 3 años, mayor a países como Brasil y Argentina.

🌱📢Revisa la columna de opinión de nuestro fundador @mauricioserranopalma que apareció en diferentes medios sobre los reemplazos a la carne y el avance del mercado vegano 👇🏽
En el contexto del Día del Vegetarianismo, que se celebra cada 1 de octubre desde 1977 para promover los beneficios de este tipo de alimentación, se debe resaltar y señalar el importante crecimiento que ha tenido este segmento en el mercado, pasando de ser una tendencia a un hecho consumado, que brinda una opción a todas aquellas personas han decidido dejar la carne.
Hoy, la oferta de productos es tan grande, que podemos identificar alternativas en base a plantas de hamburguesas, choripanes, vienesas hasta Nuggets, en los anaqueles de los principales supermercados a lo largo de Chile, algo impensado hace unos diez años atrás y que se ve reforzado con los datos de crecimiento de este sector.
Según Veganuary junto a Mintel Consulting, al 2021 habría un 12% de productos lanzados con la etiqueta “vegano”, que significa un 8% de crecimiento respecto a 3 años antes, un crecimiento mayor a países como Brasil y Argentina, que también tuvieron crecimiento, pero a menor porcentaje.
Estos datos dan cuenta que las y los chilenos, cada vez van reduciendo su consumo de carne o eligiendo otras alternativas cómodas con sus actuales creencias o estilos de vida.

Nowadays, the variety of food is so extensive that we can find alternatives for plant-based hamburgers, choripanes, sausages and even nuggets. This was unthinkable ten years ago and is supported by growth data in this market.
According to Veganuary and Mintel Consulting, by 2021, 12% of the products launched were labeled as “vegan”, representing a growth of 8% compared to three years earlier. Growth that is higher than countries like Brazil or Argentina, that also had a growth but a lower percentage.
These figures indicate that Chileans are reducing their meat consumption or choosing other alternatives that align with their current beliefs or lifestyle.

🚨Luego de años de insistencia y gestión para que se implemente un menú vegano/vegetariano en el Programa de Alimentación Escolar por parte de @gobiernojunaeb, ya estamos viendo avances concretos y que esperemos tengan buenos resultados.
Agradecemos el apoyo de la nueva dirección de JUNAEB y al COSOC donde nuestro fundador @mauricioserranopalma es parte para levantar y gestionar esta iniciativa que tenemos como organización.
Seguiremos trabajando para que miles de niñas, niños y adolescentes puedan comer saludable sin productos de origen animal en sus escuelas.

🌱🤝🏼Hoy nos reunimos con el Senador Gustavo Sanhueza, integrante de la Comisión de Educación de la Cámara del Senado de Chile, instancia en la que nuestra Presidenta @danielamirandavidal junto a nuestro abogado del Departamento Jurídico @diego.friver hablaron de la necesidad de que avance el Proyecto de Ley #MiMenuVegano, que ya fue aprobado en la Cámara de Diputados y Diputadas y que busca la inclusión de un menú vegano para todas las niñas, niños y adolescentes de Chile que se alimentan mediante la beca JUNAEB 🌱. Agradecemos que el Senador apoye nuestro proyecto y que se comprometiera a ayudar para que se ponga en tabla para su discusión durante este año y así iniciar su tramitación en la comisión.🎊

Tenemos el agrado de contar con la participación de Óscar Horta, filósofo español, activista antiespecista, miembro fundador de la Fundación Ética Animal, y profesor en el Departamento de Filosofía y Antropología de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.
En esta primera parte trabajaremos algunas herramientas y técnicas para:
🧐 Identificar argumentos a favor y en contra del especismo.
💪🏽 Cómo defender el veganismo.
🔮 Entender en qué se basan las decisiones que toman las personas que consumen animales y cómo invitarlas a elegir la liberación animal.

We are pleased to have the participation of Óscar Horta, Spanish philosopher, anti-speciesist activist, member of the Animal Ethics Foundation and professor in the Department of Philosophy and Anthropology of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
In the first session, we will work on some techniques to:
