✅”Los animales serán sujetos de especial protección. El estado los protegerá, reconociendo su sintiencia y el derecho a vivir una vida libre de maltrato.

El estado y sus organismos promoverán una educación basada en la empatía y en el respeto hacia los animales”. Así dice la norma que fue aprobada por mayoría el día de hoy en Chile.

Esto se logró gracias a las campañas de diversas organizaciones animalistas como @derechoydefensanimal que instalaron esta necesidad y apoyaron el proceso, del cual también pudimos ser parte, cuando nuestro fundador @mauricioserranopalma expuso en la comisión de medio ambiente de la convención, contra el rodeo y en favor de los animales.

De aprobarse la nueva constitución, Chile tendría en su Carta Magna una base para seguir defendiendo a los animales.

The state and government bodies will promote education based on empathy and respect toward animals.” This is the new regulation that was approved by the majority in Chile.

This was achieved thanks to many animal organizations, such as @derechoydefensanimal which raised awareness of this issue and supported the process. We were also a part of this goal, when our founder @mauricioserranopalma  spoke out against rodeo and in favor of the animals in the Environment Comission of the convention.

If this new Constitution is approved, animals will have a foundation in the Constitution to be protected.
