El candidato a la presidencia Marco Enríquez Ominami fue el primero de los candidatos/as que se reunió con nuestra organización y otras animalistas, para firmar un compromiso con los animales.

Este detalla que existirá “el trabajo y la promoción de proyectos que prohíban y castiguen cualquier acto que involucre sufrimiento animal en beneficio de la entretención humana, tales como el rodeo, circos que involucran la participación de animales y carreras de galgos, entre otros.”

Nuestra vicepresidenta @mariapazorrego quien acudió a la cita, agradeció el compromiso de MEO y espera que los otros candidatos puedan replicar esta iniciativa.

Presidential candidate Marco Enríquez Ominami was the first candidate to have a meeting with our organization and other activists to sign a commitment to animal protection.

This commitment states that there will be “promotion of projects that prohibit and punish any act involving animal suffering for human entertainment, such as rodeo, circuses with animals, greyhound racing, and other similar practices.”

Our vice president @mariapazorrego, who attended the meeting, thanked the candidate for his support and hopes that other candidates will follow this initiative.
